First-year students
Please follow the instructions on the First-Year Student Registration website
Continuing students interested in French, German, or Spanish
Sophomores, juniors and seniors, please take the Online Placement Test (5-20 minutes)
Students OF Chinese, Greek, Hebrew, Japanese, Latin, or Russian
Consult a professor in your desired language for advice
True beginners
Those with NO prior experience in the target language should register for the year-long, two-semester sequence, Elementary 101 (offered only in the fall) and Elementary 102 (offered only in the spring).
