Research Interests:
My research interests¬†lie at the intersection of literature and theory as well as politics and poetics. I investigate the trajectory of the performance of apoliticism¬†and its fateful consequences in German literature and thought from Weimar Classicism to Weimar Republic to the postwar period. An additional area of focus has been Paul Celan’s reception of Osip Mandelstam.
Teaching Interests:
I teach courses on German-language poetry and prose as well as transnational German-language literature.
